We Provide a heritage-led approach to managing changes to the historic environment

Our service is designed to help the owners and curators of Scheduled Ancient Monuments (SAM), Listed buildings, Registered Parks and Gardens and non-designated heritage assets to understand the origin, historic development and significance of the sites and structures under their care.

Our comprehensive services

Archaeology

HB Archaeology & Conservation Ltd provide a range of archaeological investigations including watching briefs, evaluations and excavations directed by Diccon Hart.

Interpretive Survey

Pioneered by David and Barbara Martin, this form of record is thorough and well illustrated and is designed to demonstrate the origin and evolution of a building or group of buildings.

Heritage Statements

The Heritage Statement is a dominant feature of the planning process. To prepare such a statement, the site is visited and an illustrated report prepared.

Heritage Impact Assessments

A Heritage Impact Assessment is designed to inform of the potential impacts of proposed alterations to a heritage asset and its setting, providing recommendations and advice in order to minimise those impacts and contribute to the creation of a sound heritage-led proposal scheme.
